HoYoVerse uploaded a gameplay trailer of Ayato, who will appear as the banner 5-star in Genshin Impact Version 2.6. This video shows Ayato facing off against Fatui agents and gives a better picture of just how his kit will work in combat. It also gives another look at his personality in how he interacts with his enemies and subordinates.

You can watch the Ayato gameplay trailer here or via the official Genshin Impact YouTube channel:

During his conversation with the Fatui, Ayato implies that he has been on the receiving end of multiple assassination attempts throughout his life. Thus, he retains a calm demeanor as he dispatches of the Fatui trying to kill him. Ayato demonstrates both his Skill and his Burst gameplay in the trailer. At the end, he speaks with his subordinate in regards to the resistance infiltrating the Tenshukaku, with a brief Sayu cameo in the background.

Ayato’s Skill changes his Normal Attack and stance, while his Burst rains down Bloomwater Blades that deal Hydro DMG and buff Normal Attack damage. His signature sword, the Haran Geppaku Futsu, will greatly buff Normal Attack as well. This is the sword that he wields in his demo trailer. Other characters who will appear in Version 2.6 include Venti, Yun Jin, Xiangling, and Sucrose.

Genshin Impact is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and iOS and Android devices. It is also in development for Nintendo Switch. Ayato will appear in the gacha from March 30, 2022.
