Update: Today’s the day: Heaven Dust 2 is now available on Nintendo Switch. You’ll find it on the eShop for $14.99 / 14,99€ and there’s a brand new launch trailer (up above) to add to the hype.

Original Article (Thu 9th Dec, 2021 15:00 GMT): If you’re hoping to celebrate the new year with some zombie-infested survival horror – because how else would you round out the festive season? – then you might want to keep an eye out for Heaven Dust 2.

A sequel to the original Heaven Dust, also playable on Switch, this new game is headed to the Nintendo eShop and Steam on 6th January 2022. It’s described as “a love letter to classic survival horror games”, and just like its predecessor, comes packed with all the gameplay mechanics you’d expect from genre greats like Resident Evil.

There’s exploration, action, puzzles to figure out, and resource management to, well… Manage. And of course, you’ll find yourself trapped in a research base full of zombies, because where else would you be?

It sports a dark yet cute top-down perspective that’s best seen in action (check out the trailer up above), but here are a few screenshots to give you another look:

Liking what you see? Remember, the original game is available to buy on the eShop right now (it’s actually on offer at the time of writing, down to just £2.94), with this bigger, enhanced sequel releasing early next month.
