The latest sales data from Japan is in, and the picture remains similar to last week. Pokémon Legends: Arceus easily maintains its top position, selling another 140,149 units to fall just short of 2 million total sales. We can expect to see it hit that milestone next week.

Pokémon games feature twice more in the charts, with Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl and Sword/Shield coming in at 7th and 17th, respectively.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe moves up to second position, with Mario Party Superstars and Super Smash Bros. closely behind, moving over 10,000 units each.

The only new title to make the charts this week is My Next Life as a Villainess, which sold 6676 copies to come in tenth position overall. The game is based on the Japanese light novel series.

Hardware sales increased, with over 118,000 units sold across the three Switch models.

Check out the full sales charts below to see how things moved in Japan during the latest period. And let us know your thoughts on the top games of the week. How many have you been playing?
