Inspired by the classic story of Pinocchio (no, really), Lies of P first caught our attention back in May, when it was announced for PlayStation 5. It’s a Souls-like action RPG, and this new gameplay trailer has much more than a whiff of Bloodborne about it. The gothic style, the visceral combat… Familiar stuff.

Lies of P certainly has potential, though. The gameplay on show here looks rock solid, and we can’t deny that it’s a unique premise. As far as pre-alpha footage goes, this looks great.

Lies of P is aiming to hit PS5 at some point in 2023. Hopefully we hear more about it in the near future.
