If you’ve been playing through Red Dead Redemption 2 thanks to its inclusion on PS Plus Extra, and you haven’t finished it yet, then you might want to hurry. Rockstar’s incredible open world title will be removed from the service tomorrow (that’s the 20th September 2022 at the time of writing), and that means Extra subscribers will no longer be able to play it unless you go and actually buy a copy.
We’ve known that this would be the case since Extra’s initial game library was unveiled, but it’s certainly worth a quick reminder article.
Any games that leave PS Plus Extra, or PS Plus Premium, are no longer playable through the service — even if you’re still subscribed. This rule does not apply to PS Plus Essential, which lets you retain access to your monthly games as long as you add them to your library.
